    • BOARD OF DEACONS

      A Deacon is an officer of the church, ordained of God to assist the Pastor. He should visit the sick, minister the Holy Sacrament, help to keep up the church property, and do accounting and banking of money. This calls for a man with certain qualifications that are absolutely necessary. They must be full of the Holy Ghost, a man of wisdom, honest, faithful, and a teacher. He should never work against his Pastor, but with his Pastor in caring for the church and its members.
