Rev. 1:20 "The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches."
Rev. 2:1 "Unto the angel of the church of Ephesus write; these things saith he that holdeth the seven stars in his right hand, who walketh in the midst of the seven golden candlesticks."
Your pastor is the angel of the church ordained of God to preach the gospel and to perfect the saints for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ and to bring all unto the unity of the faith and to the knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Eph. 4:11-12 "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some ‘evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; "For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ." He is commissioned to feed the sheep.
John 21:16 "He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, yea, Lord: thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, feed my sheep."
It is not a simple assignment or calling. It is a most difficult one, and your Pastor tries very hard to give his members what God has for them. There are those who do not follow leadership; who do not obey their Pastor. This is wrong.
Heb. 13:17 "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves; for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
Whenever a member has a problem he should always go to the Pastor before the problem becomes to difficult, so that the Pastor can help through prayer and counsel to find a solution.
‘Members should not run around from church to church and from place to place. In so doing they are apt to pick up false teachings or an evil spirit, because wherever the truth is not being taught there is an evil spirit People who run from place to place never grow in God. It is important that members be perfected for the work of the kingdom of God.
The Pastor's vision is for the church as a whole, and all members should follow that vision so that the Lord's will may be done and His name glorified. People who fight against the Pastor and the Lord's vision should be reproved, or they should move their membership to a church where they can have faith in their Minister.
